About Us
Michele (Pisacano) Knight is proud to be co-owner of Knight Accounting & Technology, LLCwith her husband, David. After graduating from St. Michael’s College in Winooski, VT, Michele started in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and progressed into restaurant management with Qdoba Mexican Grill and Dave and Buster’s. After meeting countless small business owners who felt they lacked managerial support from their accountants, Knight Accounting & Technology, LLC was launched to serve their needs. In addition to consulting for individuals & small businesses, Michele performed Sarbanes-Oxley internal control testing for several public companies including Vail Resorts , Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, and United Launch Alliance. Michele is a contributing writer and technical editor for the Thomson Reuters courses for accountants, and has authored several books including Forensic Accounting, Introduction to Food & Beverage, and a 2006 Audit Update. Michele has also been published articles for the National Association for Tax Professionals and the Denver Business Journal. To keep current on accounting issues, Michele completes over 90 hours of training each year, compared to Colorado’s 40 hour requirement for professional education.
Michele and her family reside in the breathtaking town of Dillon, CO, near Keystone Ski Resort. She and her husband Dave were married on January 1st, 2005, and enjoy running, biking, hiking and skiing the Rocky Mountains. Always up for a challenge, Michele participates in marathons and triathlons throughout the US and enjoys playing around on her trampoline. Michele has been a Rotarian since 2003 and is very proud to be a member of the Rotary Club of Summit County. July 2, 2008 marked the birth of Jacob Ernest Knight, Michele and Dave’s pride and joy. While the practice continues to grow, we are enjoying every moment we can spend together as a family as well.
