My Rotary Club’s www.windreamcondo.com Raffle
Hi Everyone! I’ve got a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! The Rotary Club of Summit County is offering an AMAZING opportunity to win hundreds of thousands of dollars CASH or a $1Million Ski-in, Ski-out Condo in Breckenridge, Colorado. I know I send you information from time to time on events our Rotary Club is undertaking, but we are really going for the brass ring this time!
We are raffling off a $1Million dollar, full ownership, one-bedroom, slope-side condo in Grand Lodge on Peak 7. It is an incredible property with a list of amenities a mile long! Or, if you prefer, you split ½ the raffle profits in CA$H! We are also paying thousands of dollars in INTERIM PRIZES – in bi-weekly drawings staring July 19 (that’s this coming TUESDAY) – through December 20th. You could be the winner of an interim prize AND still win the GRAND PRIZE on New Year’s Eve, 2011!
This is our biggest undertaking to date and we are hoping it will help us to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to give back to our local and global communities. The majority of the money we raise stays right here in Summit County and goes to support such things as the Community Care Clinic, our literacy programs, scholarships, the 9 Health Fair, Cardio Plus and so many other worthwhile projects. Globally, we work to eradicate polio, provide clean drinking water, and provide disaster assistance to those in need – victims of Katrina, the Haitian earth quake, tornados in the mid west…. the list goes on.
I sincerely hope you will support this important work. Get your entries online TODAY www.WinDreamCondo.com or you can call Judi LaPoint at 970-389-6470!
Thanks so much for your support!
Sincerely,
Michele Knight
Welcome Ethan Lee Knight
Can’t believe a whole month has passed by, but we are thrilled to welcome Ethan Lee Knight to this wonderful world! Ethan was born on July 11, and we’re all doing great. Pictures are posted at http://cpamichele.com/blog/about-us/jacob-and-ethan:
Famous Family Members
I’m new to this whole blog thing, so I don’t know what people find interesting, but I’m just fascinated by this, so I wanted to share! Thanks to the power of the internet, Dave & I have just discovered amazing things about 2 of our famous relatives! Dave’s grandfather, Harry Knight, is famous in the rodeo circles, but I never knew just how famous he was until reading this article: http://www.ellensburgrodeohalloffame.com/inductees/harryknight.html. And, I’ve always known that my Great Uncle, Homer Facto, served on PT59 with JFK, but until this morning I didn’t know he had followers! Doing a google search for him brough up 173,000 hits, including this site (http://www.vintagememorabilia.com/index.cfm/page/john-f-kennedy-typed-letter-signed-autographed-pt59-boat-crewmate) where someone paid $1,000 for a letter that JFK wrote to him. I’ll always remember him as Uncle Homer, the beloved old Uncle who made us watch the history of PT Boats EVERY Thanksgiving, but it turns out that military historians think pretty highly of him as well! Isn’t the internet wonderful? These articles make great scrapbook material for Jacob who will never have the pleasure of meeting these great men, but will always know how wonderful his ancestors were!
End of Summer Update
Looks like the first big storm is coming through tonight, so I guess that it’s time to say goodbye to summer. Dave, Jacob and I have had a blast during our first summer in Summit County where I wasn’t either pregnant or dealing with an infant! Much of my time has been spent on Rotary projects, and I’ve enjoyed every moment. We also took some great hikes and did a long roadtrip through Colorado. We have hundreds of pictures posted if you go to the About Us page of this website, then click on Jacob’s Pictures. Our latest project is fostering a litter of kittens (thanks to Kay Beaton for posting great pictures of them online). We got them at 4 weeks and 6 ounces, and they are now 8 weeks and 1.5 ounces, so we must be doing something right!
Welcome!
Welcome to my first blog! I’m finally making the jump to the digital age, and this is my first step. I hope to use this blog as a way to communicate ever-changing tax tips and tricks to my clients, and I hope that anyone else who happens to stumble upon it will find the information useful.
